Celebrating International Women’s Day 2021

TFI Network+ celebrated International Women’s Day 2021 by highlighting the work of inspiring women within the Network and foundation industries. On Monday 8th March, we highlighted the careers and research of women in our network with a series of social media posts. Throughout the week we continued to celebrate women’s impact in the foundation sectors by showcasing women’s networks and initiatives, including the NHSA innovative women campaign and support networks within the sector. 

TFI Network+ is committed to supporting, embedding and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion within the foundation industries. TFI Network+ aims to support members and partners with advice, resources and opportunities to improve working practises and enable equality and diversity within their industry. 

Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining has established the ‘Women in Materials, Minerals and Mining group’ which organises opportunities for women within the sector to network and supports women career development in the industry, as well as online resources, news, events and advice. Global Cement and Concrete Association Women’s Network aims to promote diversity across the industry. The initiative is aimed at establishing a network of women leaders and experts in the cement and concrete industry and its suppliers, in order to promote gender diversity. Find out more about the network at https://gccassociation.org/womensnetwork/
