TransFIRe Hub Launch and Resource Efficiency Conference

TransFIRe (Transforming Foundation Industries Research and Innovation hub) has been developed in response to the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund call to transform the Foundation Industries, namely: Chemicals, Cement, Ceramics, Glass, Metals and Paper. The UK government wants to make these industries more internationally competitive, to secure jobs in these industries and help them grow.

The Hub will be working with universities, research organisations and industry to assist with technology development and transfer, new business developments and new opportunities in materials and technologies to help achieve the Net Zero 2050 target.

TransFIRe will hold its official launch event on the 6^th October at 13:30 followed by a Transforming Foundation Industries (TFI) conference on resource efficiency and circular economy at 15:00.
