Transforming Foundation Industries Network+ is hosting a symposium on critical issues for sustainability in the Foundation Industries as part of the 8th International Conference on Materials Science and Smart Materials (MSSM).

We are seeking abstracts for consideration as part of the symposium taking place on July 11th 2022. The symposium is planned for face to face but virtual presentations can be accommodated. The symposium relates to innovative concepts and technologies to transform the foundation industries (metal, ceramic, glass, cement, paper and bulk chemical sectors) as they transition to net zero 2050. Topics include but are not limited to: energy efficient manufacturing, industrial symbiosis, resource efficiency and circular economy, digitalisation, sensing and control, policy, and equality diversity and inclusion in the Foundation Industries.
