IOM3 Sustainable Future Week
As part of its Sustainable Future theme to help build momentum ahead of COP26, Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) is hosting a week of virtual events across 6-10 September. This week will showcase the vital role of professionals in materials, minerals and mining in the transition to a low carbon, resource efficient society.
Each day of the week will be focused on a particular subject topic featuring presentations from industrial, academic and policy experts from extractive metallurgy to packaging to concentrate the discussion on the key roles required in decarbonisation and the route to net-zero.
Themes throughout the week are:
Monday 6th Sept – Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy
Tuesday 7th Sept – Extractive Industries
Wednesday 8th Sept – Manufacturing and Materials
Tuesday 9th Sept – Energy Materials
Friday 10th Sept – People, Skills and Competence
