Hosted by UKRI’s Circular Economy Centre for Construction Materials
Tuesday 12th October
About this event
Do you have a business need or an innovative idea for the future of construction that could use expert support from leading universities and academics?
The ICEC-MCM invites you to take part in this upcoming workshop to find out more about the centre, how we may be able to support you, and discuss your business need or idea directly with you.
With 25 world-class academics, access to excellent facilities and labs, a network of industry partners that can provide support for market validation, and access to various funding mechanisms, this is a unique opportunity for SMEs to receive support and discuss innovative solutions that will facilitate the transition to a circular built environment.
A detailed agenda will be shared with attendees prior to the event.
About the centre
The UKRI Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Centre for Mineral-based Construction Materials (ICEC-MCM) is a collaboration between UCL, the University of Leeds, Loughborough University, Imperial College London, the University of Sheffield, Lancaster University and BGS with the support of 25 world-class academics and more than 40 industry partners across the whole supply chain.
The ICEC-MCM aims to facilitate the transition to a circular built environment and will explore how better design and manufacturing of products and structures made from mineral materials (such as aggregates, cement and brick) can help the UK’s construction industry to do more with less, reduce waste and lower costs.
